This is a 8 night class that uses a Compact Logix Controller and RS Logix 5000 programming software.  You will learn all the basics of PLC hardware and configuration.  In addition, the student will have extensive hands-on training programming relay ladder logic, timers, counters, discrete I/O, analog I/O and Ethernet communication between lab PLC’s.  The class has 8 workstations and is limited to 16 students.  The student must have previous computer (windows) experience to take this class.  SEE CLASS SCHEDULE FOR MORE DETAILS.  

      NEW CLASS:  PRO 10—CORE 4:  
 		      Pre-requisite—need to have taken Code of Excellence)
The LUC committee (Labor, Users and Contractors) has initiated a “Union Construction Professional Training” program called PRO-10.  This course is 10 hours in length.  IBEW electricians who have completed Code of Excellence will only have to complete 4 of the 10 hours to receive a PRO-10 certificate.  These 4 hours are called CORE 4.  This course was developed for the building trades.  We are being told there will be certain jobs this winter that will require PRO-10 certification to work on. SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS:
Learn to design and install Solar Photovoltaic Systems.  Course participants learn system sizing, site analysis, hardware specification and component selection.  The course covers typical applications and case study examples.  You will install a mock solar photovoltaic system with state-of-the-art “renewable energy” equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code.  Instructors are Keith Setley and Ed Nelson.
