Each local Union should have a COPE Committee
This committee operates under the direction of the Business

Some Functions of the Committee:
- Voter registration
- Keeping a current voter registration list of every Member
- Mobilizing the Membership for political initiatives.
- Meeting the candidates and lobbying
- Endorsing and supporting candidates
- Attend meetings Political Functions
- Educating Members concerning issues and candidates
Local Unions should participate with the Central Labor
Bodies and the State AFL-CIO.

effective voice. The Local COPE Committee should coordinate
these efforts during elections.
- Phone Banks
- Door to Door
- Political Sign Making
- Absentee Ballots (Urging Members and others to vote absentee
